A pocket touchpad for swim coaches — built for the deck, not the desktop.
Touchpad is a mobile app for swim coaches who run meets and practice from the deck. It combines three things coaches usually juggle across a clipboard, a stopwatch, and a notebook:
The free tier gives you the Split Stopwatch, the Basic Stopwatch, a race history that syncs across your devices once you sign in, and Workouts — practices written in plain text, parsed and scored, shareable by link with people who don't have the app. Touchpad Team adds meet tracking, the heat sheet scanner, the roster and team management, the in-race tempo counter, Replay (a delayed camera feed for instant technique feedback), and Insights — everything you need to actually work a meet.
Most swim coaching software was designed around a desk: a club office, a laptop, a printed heat sheet next to it. Coaches don't work that way on meet day. They're on the deck, they're holding a phone, and they need to make decisions in the gap between heats.
Touchpad starts from where the coach actually is — phone in hand, heat sheet in front of them, race about to start — and works backward. The same heat sheet that just got passed out should be the scanner's input. The same swimmers in the heat should already be on the roster, ready to tag. The splits captured at the wall should land in a season-long history the coach can refer back to weeks later.
Touchpad is built and operated by Bryson Alef LLC. We're a small operation focused on getting a small set of things right rather than shipping a kitchen-sink platform. Feedback from coaches drives the roadmap — if there's something you wish the app did, write us at support@touchpadapp.com.
Everything you record — races, splits, roster, notes — lives in your team's private database. Only coaches you've invited to your team can see it. We don't sell or share team or swimmer data with third parties.
The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we collect what we need to run the app, we use industry-standard services (Firebase, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Gemini AI for heat sheet parsing), and you can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app.
